NHS Medical Education and Simulation Fellow

I am an anaesthetic trainee with an interest in anaesthesia in low-resource settings, in particular in the humanitarian sector.
Throughout my medical training I have always enjoyed teaching, and have been involved with formal teaching and development of teaching programmes in UK and abroad. As part of my advanced training in anaesthesia I relish the opportunity to be a medical education and simulation fellow at the OxSTaR Centre, to be amongst experts in the field.
While with the OxSTaR Centre I will undertake a study in collaboration with the World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists (WFSA) looking into what, according to anaesthesia providers based in low- and middle-income countries, topics and teaching techniques should be used for a short course on postoperative care and complications.
