Beenish Iqbal won an award for the Best Poster Presentation at the annual MED+24 conference organised by the Royal College of Physicians. This is a national competition with presenters from all over the UK.

She presented her Quality Improvement Project conducted at the Oxford University Hospitals, titled:‘Train to Drain’: a quality improvement project leading to a national educational resource to improve the confidence of doctors and nurses in managing patients with chest drains’.

For this project, bite-sized videos were developed focused on different aspects of post chest drain management to improve patient care and to avoid direct harm. This resource is now distributed nationally and multiple Trusts have incorporated it in their chest drain pathways to empower staff in providing better care to patients.
