Earlier in April OxSTaR assisted a team from Bristol in running the One Brain Course which tracks the pathway of care for a patient with a head injury from their arrival in the ED department, through to theatres and then finally to the Adult Intensive Care department. There are many factors that healthcare professionals need to consider when caring for a seriously ill patient on this pathway and this course aims to provide practical advice for gold standard care. Simulation provides an excellent tool for looking at the more vulnerable stages of this pathway and the doctors involved really enjoyed the day. The course was hosted in the distinguished surroundings of the Examination school in Oxfords city centre.
