How will you study?
Each module follows a predictable ten-week structure:
Prepare remotely
Approximately four weeks of guided reading, online learning and preparation based on a safety challenge from your own setting.
Learn intensively in Oxford
One week of face-to-face teaching, discussion, simulation and multidisciplinary group work.
Complete assignment remotely
Approximately five weeks of further study, reflection and assessment, supported by faculty and peers.
Assessments are comprised of written assignments coupled with professional dialogues to ensure the assessment equip students with skills for the real world.
Each module includes an assignment. The PGCert comprises one module per term over one year. The PGDip includes three additional modules during a second year.
The structure is designed to help professionals plan work, travel and caring commitments in advance while maintaining meaningful face-to-face learning.
The first module must be taken first and typically occurs in October of each year. All subsequent modules can be taken in any order.
