Intensive Care Simulation programme Lead

Laura Vincent is a Consultant in Intensive Care and Anaesthesia at Oxford University Hospitals, with a longstanding interest in medical education, human factors, patient safety and staff wellbeing. She has extensive experience in multidisciplinary and simulation-based education, including the development of in-situ simulation programmes within adult intensive care. 
Laura completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education with distinction and has held national leadership roles within the UK Intensive Care Society, including Chair of the Trainee Committee and Council Member. Her work has included national education, research and quality improvement projects focused on workforce engagement, burnout prevention and maternal critical care. 
At OxSTaR, Laura is particularly interested in using simulation to support team behaviours, professional culture and safer patient care. She leads the multidisciplinary Intensive Care Simulation programme including the training for High Consequence Infectious Diseases.
