Foundation Doctors - Skills and Updates

Location: OxSTaR -Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Time: 09:00-17:00. The day maybe shorter if attendee numbers are low.

This module is designed specifically for foundation doctors returning to training. 

The morning will focus on practical skills needed in foundation jobs including catheters, blood taking, ABGs and venflons. This will be followed by interactive sessions on topics such as fluid prescribing, managing on call bleeps, how to make a good referral, death certificates and cremation forms. There will also be a panel session with top tips on how to approach your return to work. All of this will be provided in a friendly supportive environment with absolutely no assessment and the opportunity to address your specific questions/worries throughout the day. Coffee and lunch will be provided free of charge throughout the workshop.
