SuppoRTT overview
HEE recognises that trainees take time out of their training programme for a number of reasons, such as parental leave, OOP, carers leave and sickness. Returning to training, regardless of the reason, can be a difficult and stressful time for trainees. The Supported Return to Training (SuppoRTT) initiative aims to support trainees with their confidence, skills and knowledge so that they can safely and confidently return to practice within their training programme.
All regional simulation centres have developed, alongside HEETV, a suite of simulation programmes, aimed specifically at those trainees who are soon to return to training after a career break (for any reason). The modules are free of charge to those who are eligible. The modules are not assessed and have been designed as learning tools only, please note due to COVID-19 some modules will take place online.
In order to book the modules, please email srtt.tv@hee.nhs.uk to request the link and password. Please provide confirmation of your GMC number and your anticipated return to training date when requesting access.
Please note that where possible, you will be required to submit your completed Pre-Return to Training form in advance of booking the courses. If you are not due to meet with your Educational Supervisor before the course you are interested in, you can still attend, but will still be expected to send your form to us prior to your return. All forms and more information can be found on our website:
The modules available are in the navigation pane on the left.
