Following recent technical and debriefing courses run jointly by OxSTaR and South Central Ambulances Simbulance team, Thames Valley Air Ambulance (TVAA) ran their first every night time simulation exercise.  The course was run as part of TVAA's preparation to commence night time flying of the air ambulance.

Course candidates included paramedics and doctors who work regularly on the air ambulance and the course was facilitated by senior doctors, paramedics and pilots with assistance from OxSTaR and Simbulance teams.

The course included lectures and discussions followed by 3 simulations in differing challenging settings.  All of these took place at night and included a simulated in flight emergency.
